This is a critical leadership position responsible for building and evolving development strategy across the R&D organization. You’ll be managing and mentoring a group of around 20 development engineers and leaders, and playing a key role in shaping future of security with Check Point

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and drive the quality vision, strategy, and roadmap for the SASE product line, aligning with engineering and business goals.
    • Champion a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement across the entire development lifecycle.
    • Serve as a senior leader and thought partner to R&D, product, and platform leaders.
  • Organizational Management
    • Lead and mentor an engineering group consisting of 3-5 specialized teams:
    • Manage a group of 15-20 people, focusing on talent growth, performance, and collaboration across teams.
  • Cross-Organizational Impact
    • Leadership, Collaboration, and Project Management
    • Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration across engineering, product, and security functions.
    • Ability to influence and align stakeholders across teams and drive consensus on technical and strategic decisions.
  • Software Engineering
    • Proven experience in programming languages such as C++, C Or Go
    • Proven expertise in designing scalable systems and optimizing performance for high-throughput applications.
    • Experience in translating complex technical requirements into actionable project plans, managing timelines, resources, and risks effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present technical concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Qualifications
  • BS/MS in CS/CE or similar field, with a minimum of 12+years of software development experience, including managing managers and cross-functional development teams.
  • Proven experience leading teams of 15-20 people in a fast-paced, large-scale development environment.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align long-term initiatives with product and business priorities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills—able to drive alignment at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in security, networking, or cloud/SaaS environments; SASE product experience is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with Agile development process and leading large scrum-based development efforts
  • Experience building security products and knowledge about the security landscape a huge plus

Job brief

  • The Head of Operations and control to oversee daily activities across functions such as Training, Communication, Internal IT, HR and Customer Interaction and satisfaction.
  • Head of Operations responsibilities include designing policies, overseeing customer service and implementing technology solutions. You will be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business.
  • Ultimately, you’ll ensure our operations run smoothly and that people are productive.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Supporting Strategic Priorities
  • Helps the department head focus on strategic goals by assisting in creating and executing long-term plans and ensuring alignment with the overall organizational objectives.
  • They may be involved in setting priorities for the department and helping track progress toward those goals.
  1. Operational Management
  • They help ensure that the department’s operations run smoothly by identifying areas for improvement, optimizing processes, and facilitating coordination between teams or functions within the department.
  • Day-to-day operations to ensure everything is running efficiently, which can free up the department head to focus on broader leadership responsibilities.
  • Critical escalation management and front ending internally and externally with all stake holders and reporting to Execs
  1. Communication and Liaison
  • Acting as the key liaison between the department head and other teams, often serves as a communication conduit, relaying important information, managing meetings, and sometimes representing the department head in meetings or discussions.
  • Act as a filter, ensuring that the department head only deals with critical issues while less urgent matters are managed by the other staff.
  1. Project and Initiative Oversight
  • Responsible for managing specific projects or initiatives within the department, ensuring they stay on track, meet deadlines, and align with department goals.
  • They would track key performance indicators (KPIs) or other metrics to monitor the success of these initiatives.
  1. Decision Support
  • By providing research, data, analysis, or recommendations, the CoS helps the department head make informed decisions.
  • This could involve preparing reports, presenting options, or summarizing important issues in a digestible way.
  • Design policies that align with overall strategy
  • Implement efficient processes and standards
  • Coordinate customer service operations and find ways to ensure customer retention, Satisfaction and high level of service.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws (e.g. data protection)
  • Oversee the implementation of technology solutions throughout the organization
  • External - Manage relations with customers, vendors, partners and other stakeholders
  • Internal - Manage relations with Sales, CSM, R@D, PS and other stakeholders
  • Evaluate risk and lead quality assurance efforts
  • Oversee expenses and budgeting to help the organization optimize costs and benefits
  • Mentor and motivate teams to achieve productivity and engagement
  • Report on operational performance and suggest improvements
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as leading and managing large scale Operations
  • Familiarity with all business functions including HR, finance, supply chain and IT
