  • Managing and assisting in the preparation of financial models and business valuations

  • Preparing pitch books and client marketing presentations, memoranda, and deliverables

  • Understanding the underlying trends that affect the healthcare industries

  • Coordinating and managing the creation of industry research publications

  • Developing and cultivating client, prospective client, buyer, investor, and professional advisor relationships

  • Mentorship and development of junior bankers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 6 years of investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory experience with a focus on Mergers and Acquisitions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree

  • At least 7 years of investment banking, private equity, or transaction advisory experience with a focus on sell-side Mergers and Acquisitions

  • FINRA Licenses - 63, 79, SIE

Vice President, Interest Rate Derivatives


Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior marketers to identify and market interest rate derivative products to the bank’s commercial client base across multiple verticals including corporate, commercial real estate, financial sponsor and specialty finance.

  • Work with relationship managers, underwriters and credit officers to identify customer hedging needs and develop strategies to meet those needs.

  • Analyze customer financial statements and SEC filings to identify opportunities related to a client’s existing capital structure or interest rate derivatives exposure to identify interest rate hedging opportunities.

  • Prepare pitchbooks and other marketing materials inclusive of market commentary, hedging products and applications, key market themes, industry best practices and indicative pricing.

  • Structure, implement, price and execute customer derivative transactions within approved risk management framework.

  • Maintain direct contact with customers to provide seamless client coverage while senior marketers are traveling.

  • Regularly participate in internal calls with relationship managers and key stakeholders to provide an overview of current market conditions and macro-level trends.

  • Jointly monitor policies, procedures, and systems to ensure that applicable internal controls and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Assist in the ongoing training of Capital One’s relationship managers, underwriters and other internal stakeholders.

  • Keep abreast of industry trends and issues by reviewing industry periodicals and information, attending industry seminars and meeting with industry leaders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior marketers to identify and market foreign exchange derivative products to the bank’s commercial client base across various market segments

  • Assist with handling the day-to-day FX transaction processes (i.e. price, execute, and liaise with middle/back office) to streamline client trading activity

  • Work with relationship managers, underwriters, credit officers, and onboarding teams to assist senior marketers with the the full internal/external client management process

  • Analyze customer financial statements and SEC filings to identify opportunities related to a client’s existing capital structure and/or foreign exchange derivatives exposure to identify hedging opportunities

  • Prepare pitchbooks and other marketing materials inclusive of market commentary, hedging products and applications, key market themes, industry best practices and indicative pricing

  • Structure, implement, price, and execute customer derivative transactions within approved risk management framework

  • Maintain direct contact and build relationships with customers to provide seamless client coverage while senior marketers are traveling
