Education & Experience:

  • Honours Bachelor Degree (HETAC level 8) in a Business/Engineering or other related discipline.
  • Ideally 3 + years experience in a Leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience of leading and managing teams in a manufacturing environment is essential.
  • Must be able to demonstrate personal leadership experience and understand the importance of positive employee engagement.
  • Have excellent working knowledge of manufacturing and industry “best practice”.
  • Have a high level of business awareness, be action oriented complemented by the resilience to achieve challenging objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, an innate ability to influence and build relationships at all levels and a driving vision to create an inclusive culture of performance, continuous improvement and development.

May be responsible for working with process owner to bound product stops and document release criteria.
  • Understanding of product quality plans, documents and systems by reviewing product specifications, quality specifications, and working with quality systems. May be responsible for learning risk analyses and FMEAs.
  • Monitoring Systems by becoming familiar with systems applications and critical process steps; and through familiarization with methods used to reduce process variation.
  • Becomes familiar with Product/Process improvement efforts by understanding current quality metric data and learning the various analysis methods used to enhance sustaining product design and new product development
  • Learns Quality Tools & Training Materials by gaining knowledge of prevalent tools used and by reviewing & utilizing available training materials.
  • Checks and provides support in the execution and investigation of CAPAs, NCEP, Failure Mode Investigations, etc.
  • Evaluates new equipment and processes and participates in the transfer of new products.

  • Responsible for reviewing and developing process validation protocols and reports. Support other functional areas during the validation activities
  • Provide supervision, leadership, and overall direction to the Quality Release team to ensure they are identifying issues, quarantining defective product, and efficiently moving product through the release process. Clarify priorities and remove roadblocks to maintain a high level of quality in accordance with ISO standards, cGMP's, Corporate and site level SOP's.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Industrial, Electronic, Biotechnology, Electromechanical Engineering or Related Field
  • 2+ years of experience as Quality Engineer

  • Administration duties which include Time and Attendance system, Holiday planning, Build Plan review Back Order review, Travel planning etc.
  • Works with EHS to identify significant environmental impacts of BSIL operations and to establish goals and targets around significant environmental impacts.
  • Good knowledge of GMP / FDA regulatory requirements, housekeeping, health and safety.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to liaise with various support groups.
  • 3-5 years previous experience of people-management and demonstrated ability in people motivation, organising and team building desired.

Education & Experience

About the role:

At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies are used to diagnose or treat a wide range of medical conditions. In Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM), we offer solutions for treating irregular heart rhythms and heart failure and protecting against sudden cardiac arrest. In this role, you will sell and promote company products in the Rhythm Management division within a defined geographic territory.

Your responsibilities will include:


• Sell products by scheduling sales calls to meet with current and potential customers to fulfill the company's revenue and unit growth objectives on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis.
• Develop and implement sales strategies that are specific and targeted by determining the factors (e.g., product, competition, and pricing needs) that are relevant to appropriate hospital personnel and physicians.
• Determine the needs (e.g., product and pricing), goals, product usage, and types of cases handled by specific customers by meeting with and asking in-depth questions of physicians and other hospital personnel to learn which Boston Scientific products can best address their specific needs.
• Respond to customer needs and complaints regarding products and services by developing creative and feasible solutions or work with other related personnel (e.g., clinical research, pricing, and/or marketing) to develop optimal solutions.
• Develop relationships with hospital personnel (e.g., through casual conversation, meetings, participation in conferences) to make new contacts in other hospital departments and identify key purchasing decision-makers to facilitate future sales.
• Educate customers on the merits and proper clinical usage of company products by giving presentations and demonstrations using a wide variety of formats and platforms (e.g., slides, transparencies, manuals) to secure purchasing commitments, often with the help of incentive programs and services made available to the account being developed.
• Manage territory resources for clinical support in the areas of device implant coverage, basic troubleshooting, programming, and patient follow-up of company products.
• Attend device implants in the labs and operating room of hospital accounts and perform patient follow-up to assure customer and patient success with the implanted products.

Required Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field clinical/sales experience.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in clinical or sales experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical field sales organization
• Must have technical aptitude; be able to discuss & explain complex technical product information.
• Must be able to be on a rotational call on a 24/7/365 basis with a sales team
• Must be able to work flexible hours, and complete an extensive training program

Preferred Qualifications


• Master's Degree, MBA.
• Structural Heart, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, or related industry experience.
• Experience with implantation in cardiovascular and/or medical device.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com.
