Key job responsibilities
* Develop advanced thermal solutions through sophisticated simulation, comprehensive analysis, and precise measurement correlation
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate thermal design considerations into product development and to align technical specifications with product vision
* Lead hardware development initiatives from conceptualization through final product delivery
* Conduct system performance evaluations of thermal and power profiles to ensure design compliance across all operational conditions
* Apply complex electronic assembly analysis using state-of-the-art simulation and experimental techniques
* Support creative product development by providing technical insights and innovative thermal management strategies
* Manage complex product development cycles, ensuring quality, performance, and timely execution

Your day will be filled with dynamic challenges and collaborative problem-solving. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, bridging technical expertise with creative solutions. From conceptualizing new product designs to guiding development processes, you'll be at the heart of transforming innovative ideas into tangible, market-ready technologies. This will include mechanical, industrial design, and power engineering teams to develop thermal management strategies for Ring's cutting-edge products like Video Doorbells, Security Cameras, and emerging technologies.

- PhD in Thermal or Mechanical Engineering or Master's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- Experience with IoT device thermal system design and architecture
- Advanced knowledge of computational fluid dynamics
- Expertise in experimental thermal characterization techniques
- Background in consumer electronics product development
- Experience with IoT product ecosystems
- Advanced knowledge of emerging hardware technologies
- Proven track record of successful product launches
- Familiarity with international manufacturing processes

- Bachelor or equivalent qualifications in Information Technology / Computer Science / Engineering or related disciplines.
