You will lead a team of applied scientists and engineers crafting delightful audio experiences. You'll leverage AI and machine learning to revolutionize how customers engage with audio content. Your day will involve leading large-scale, customer-facing services that directly impact the listening experience across multiple platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers and applied scientists. With your expertise in cloud architectures and distributed systems, you'll ensure these solutions are scalable, reliable, and responsible, while continuously innovating to deliver personalized experiences that work seamlessly across devices and platforms.

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent experience
* Experience applying machine learning to solve complex problems for large-scale applications
* Experience leading applied science and engineering teams in a software development organization
* Highly proficient in both spoken and written English (Common European Framework of Reference C1)

* Experience delivering science solutions for customer-facing features
* Experience partnering with product and program management teams
* Experience with one of the following areas: machine learning technologies, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and related applications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
* Familiarity with AWS/cloud technologies
* Familiarity with Deep Learning and machine learning frameworks such as SageMaker, PyTorch or TensorFlow

You will be able to translate a big vision for the future into a simple set of features we can launch iteratively and experimentally, and know how to build support for your vision while taking input from other creative contributors. This role will own underlying discovery technologies for music and podcasts that power many of the key features in our apps.

In the morning, you will run prioritization discussions with your local team, do tech deep dives and help launch experiments. You will do product discovery to understand internal and external customer problems and write think big documents to propose ambitious solutions and ideas. You will lead them through strategy and execution to deliver value for Amazon Music. You will celebrate wins with the team. Often, you will interact with internal customers on the US West Coast or cross-org attend team meetings. You will travel to our San Francisco/Seattle offices to meet partners roughly twice a year.

- Proven experience in technical product management
- Experience defining and delivering media, mobile or web products
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a technical, computing or science field
- Experience owning roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
