As a Security Consultant, you'll be part of the Akamai Professional Services team, working directly with clients. You'll serve as the main point of contact for our customers' security services. As a trusted advisor, you'll deliver service excellence and help customers strengthen their security posture. You'll also solve complex challenges to ensure the successful integration of Akamai's security solutions.
As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for:
- Leading implementations of Akamai security solutions based on customer needs and business goals
- Applying technical expertise and project management to ensure successful outcomes
- Collaborating across teams to assess needs, evaluate architecture, and design security solutions
- Maintaining trusted relationships through guidance, communication, and security best practices
- Partnering with security experts to solve advanced technical challenges during implementations
- Identifying risks, building mitigation plans, and escalating issues to ensure resolution

- Have experience in web security or supporting security projects
- Know internet technologies and protocols like HTTP, DNS, IP, TLS and TCP
- Understand modern web attacks and web application security risks
- Be familiar with WAF, bot management tools and OWASP Top 10

- Have experience working in a customer-facing IT role
- Communicate effectively in Italian and English

As a Security Architect Senior, you will be responsible for:
- Owning the technical aspects of integration (configuration, debugging, documentation, testing and go-live) of our Security Solutions
- Analyzing customer traffic as well as systems and customizing Akamai security solutions to answer customers' security needs and challenges
- Collaborating with cross-functional project team to scope, set timelines, create technical solutions and support the ongoing implementations
- Delivering advanced Professional Services such as training, consultancy workshops and optimizations according to customer requirements
- Participating in ongoing training initiatives to develop your skills
- Being a proactive technical consultant for our customers, delivering value with every engagement
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have experience in web security projects or in supporting security including understanding of modern web attacks
- Have knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and how they relate to internet services compromise or attacks
- Have knowledge and experience with web applications, content delivery and network protocols (DNS, HTTP and HTTPS)
- Have experience using command line tools, scripting and log analysis
- Be able to analyse data, provide actionable solutions and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrate communication and presentation skills in Italian and English to articulate technical information
- Show proactivity and work with a sense of urgency with a constant desire to learn
