This role is a 12 to 18 months mission - a great opportunity to use your analytical skills to generate insights, develop and execute strategic initiatives and see immediate results of your proposed improvements. You will report directly to our Host Services leader for the EMEA region.

This role is based in our Paris office (Hybrid).

A typical day:

• Strategy: Garner a deep understanding of the state and needs of the business in France and support growth. Create & implement local strategies for Host Services in the French market that drive material impact to our bottom line.
• Business analysis: Analyze and review performance on all aspects: quality, supply growth and availability. Influence key business decisions through data-driven recommendations and insights
• Processes: Act as a representative of these services in France, surfacing local nuances and feedback and structuring it in a way that drives global change or improvements to the product or program functionality. When implementing local strategies, overseeing them from strategic planning phase through execution.
• Community Management: Act as an Airbnb representative for the Host Services community, cascading key product updates and encouraging best practices among the peers across EMEA. Collaborate with Regional Managers and cross-functional partners to support supply strategy and cross-functional initiatives. Support the French team in reviewing Host communication (strategy, channels, messages) in order to improve our retention.
• Stakeholder Management: This person will be responsible for working directly with key leaders across our Chief Business Officer Organization to ensure full alignment across initiatives. This will involve working closely with the France country manager to ensure Host Services fit into the broader strategy of the Country. In addition, this person will collaborate with leaders of our supply Team to ensure services are a meaningful driver of host growth in the country.

Your expertise:

• Qualified candidates will have 8+ years of work experience, preferably with combined exposure to sales, business operations and project management
• Ideally, prior experience in consulting and fast-paced environments (e.g. startups)
• Good analytical skills and metrics understanding allowing to take data-driven decisions
• Good understanding of digital environment and of the different growth levers and opportunities
• Capacity to balance day-to-day responsibilities with longer-term strategic execution
• Already experienced a target driven environment and at ease with short and mid-term challenges
• Ability to get things done with constantly changing priorities, projects and deadlines
• Experience building and strengthening relationships with external partners
• Proactive self-starter able to prioritize and manage work autonomously in a fast paced environment

As a Regulatory Operations Lead, you will bring specialized experience in strategizing and delivering regulatory product solutions that span reporting and operational best practices. You will demonstrate the ability to advise and guide cross-functional teams across geographies based on trends and observations to continuously evolve our long term strategy. You will lead with influence, build structure through ambiguity, and deliver innovative solutions to drive scalable regulatory best practices.

A Typical Day:

• Lead the strategic development and execution of scalable regulatory products and programs across multiple jurisdictions, effectively communicating outcomes and insights to senior leadership.
• Analyze data by running queries and creating dashboards to identify trends, surface anomalies, and perform the necessary investigation
• Lead end-to-end execution of complex regulatory products and programs, ensuring measurable outcomes, sustainable operations, and readiness to meet evolving legal requirements while ensuring Airbnb’s obligations are met with excellence.
• Translate emerging regulatory trends into actionable business strategies for senior leadership using data.
• Partner with cross-functional technical partners to design systems and tooling that enable proactive, automated compliance solutions.
• Identify and lead resolution of regulatory risks or incidents, coordinating with legal and policy counterparts to develop mitigation and escalation strategies.
• Influence cross-functional roadmaps and corporate strategy through deep expertise in regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee and continuously update product assurance initiatives with a global perspective, ensuring meticulous attention to detail without compromising agility.
• Drive high-impact strategic projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness while also aligning with broader business goals.

Your Expertise:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in regulatory operations, product, legal/policy compliance, program management, or related regulated industries in dynamic environments.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead multiple projects in a fast-paced and complex regulatory environment.
• Experience building scalable technical solutions and processes to mitigate regulatory risks, in addition to work with datasets in SQL and dashboard/BI tools.
• Experience designing and operationalizing cross-functional regulatory workflows.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex regulatory information as applicable and required for varied audiences.
• Comfortable and skilled at regularly interfacing with, influencing and being a thought partner to senior management to inform strategy and decision-making, yielding positive outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.

You will work closely with the local leadership team to look at potential growth opportunities, while supporting leaders in providing fundamental data insights for decision making. This pivotal role will enable you to participate in designing the strategy for Airbnb in France, and in implementing it successfully, while helping you to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the different functions interact with each other.

More specifically, you will partner very closely with our country leaders to monitor business performance and take an active part in strategic projects. This is a very varied position in which you will analyse data, interact with many stakeholders (to follow up on projects’ advancement), but also have the opportunity to have a more hands-on approach in the day-to-day business life

You can expect to:

• Drive strategic initiatives by supporting business monitoring, generating actionable insights, and contributing to decision-making through analysis. This includes computing campaign results and helping shape new revenue-generating ideas.
• Lead and support operational execution of key projects, from hands-on involvement in key country initiatives to proactively launching currently unstaffed projects.
• Collaborate with different stakeholders from all levels in various projects you will be taking an active part in.

Your expertise:

We welcome any candidate who is passionate about data and hungry to learn how to flex their muscle in providing fact-based recommendations to support business critical decisions. You are probably the right person for this role if you tick the following boxes:

• You are in your final year of a Masters degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Based in Paris (this position requires in-person office presence, but our Paris office is absolutely gorgeous)
• Ideally, you have prior work experience in a consulting capacity (previous internship or university side project)
• You speak (& write) both French and English very fluently (you don’t have to be a native speaker, but you need to be comfortable with both languages)

Desired Skills

• Experience with SQL, large databases and raw data, including the ability to write queries against large warehouses
• Skilled user of Excel/Google Sheets
• Tableau and/or Superset skills are a plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to derive high-quality analysis from data.
• Experience making data-driven recommendations and decisions
• Ability to work proactively and results-driven: always trying to learn that extra detail that can help make the most accurate decisions
• Experience in project delivery and in program management
• Good knowledge of French & Benelux markets preferred
• Experience with an internet marketplace business or within the travel industry is a plus
