Key Responsibilities:
• FIRST PIECE APPROVAL SIGN OFF – This position will be responsible for inspecting, understanding tolerance levels and approving the first piece production for: color, placement, verifying grid information, color copy comparison, print technique, registration, curing, coverage, graphic alignment, branding, specialty application, style/graphic number, correct garment, count, size run, if the order is complete/order make ups and any other quality standards defined.
• PRODUCTION RUN LINE INSPECTION – Throughout the production run the Quality Inspector is expected to inspect the embellishments as they are being produced. o For the screen print production run, the Quality Inspector is to look for any quality defects such as color, screen pinholes, garment bleeding, registration, graphics being off center, graphic placement, ink cracking, embellishment, font type, correct size for each player number, etc. This inspection will happen at the end of the dryer. o For the embroidery production run, the Quality Inspector is to look for any quality defects such as loose threads, hoop marks, registration, graphics being off center, graphic placement, etc. This inspection will happen after the Embroidery Operator 1 touches up the garment (clips running stitches, after steaming, etc.). o For the heat transfer production run the Quality Inspector is to look for any quality defects such as scorching, registration, graphics being off center, graphic placement, etc. This inspection will happen during at the press, rotating around as they are completed. If a quality defect is discovered, the Quality Inspector has the authority to stop the press immediately and let the run team know what the issue is. If the run team fails to stop, the Shift Supervisor or Manager should be notified.
• REALLOCATION – This position will be cross trained, so that it can be reallocated as needed to achieve targets and service level and have the knowledge and ability to do inspections and audits across all manufacturing areas (Screen Print, TechFit, Embroidery, Digital, Heat Transfer, Pad Print and Sublimation).
• ACCURATE COUNTS – Throughout the run the Quality Inspector is to keep accurate counts of the garments being produced to ensure we maintain our customer fill rate. These counts can also affect when we order make-ups. In instances the run is produced short the Quality Inspector must look at the make-up decision tree to determine if a make-up is required.
• CATCHING - Throughout the production run the Quality Inspector is to catch the garments as they come down the dryer and bundle/folder/hang each garment based on the type of garment.
• RECORDING DATA – This position will be responsible for accurately recording key quality data in the AMPS system/Smart Sheets Form, to ensure Operators are given proper credit for set-ups, garments produced, and reject rates.
• TOUCH UPS - This position may also be called upon to assist with touch ups and clean-up of garments.
• MAKE UPS - This position will fill out the make-up form and submit it to the Auditors.
• ORDER PREPPING – This position may be asked to assist with prepping the orders by stacking the garments by size upside down in a neat pile.
• MANUFACTURING EXCELLENCE – This position will be responsible for maintaining 6s & Lean standards.
• COMMUNICATION - This position will do an information exchange with the prior and forth coming shifts regarding status, issues and any pertinent information that the next shift may need.
• ANY OTHER ASSIGNMENTS GIVEN – Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing.

Performs a combination of production tasks including loading/unloading manual or powered machinery, positioning work, setting up and tearing down jobs, and adjusting and operating machinery. Observes machine processing for proper functioning and production of products. Loads and unloads materials, products, deliver stock to designated work areas, and cleans machines and work areas as required.

This position is directly responsible for random quality audits (final inspections) within the Manufacturing departments and will have mastered all areas of inspection regarding Manufacturing operations and in-process Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) inspections. This position’s primary inspection operation will be able to adhere to the quality assurance standards set in place.
This position will work same shift as the Manufacturing departments.
Key Responsibilities:
SUPPORT FOR QC INSPECTOR – This position will provide support to the Quality Inspector and make sound decisions on questionable quality issues.
TRAINING - This position will have been trained on all quality operations.
RANDOM AUDITS – This position will conduct random audits in Screen Print, TechFit, Embroidery, Digital, Heat Transfer, Pad Print, and Sublimation to ensure that the completed garments are consistent with the first piece sign off garment. This position will conduct random audits in Prep area to ensure counts and size accuracy.
NEEDLE / METAL DETECTION – This position is responsible for hourly calibration of the Metal Detector and for doing needle /metal detection on ALL product coming out of the Embroidery area. This includes hand held scanning and conveyor scanning and logging pass/fail in the system.
WASH TEST – This position will be responsible for wash testing, recording the results and working with the Quality Lead to troubleshoot any wash failures.
100% INSPECTIONS – This position will be responsible for completing 100% inspections on failed audits and filling out 100% audit forms.
CLOSING GRIDS – This position will be responsible for closing grids in TechFit and Heat Transfer.
COMMUNICATION - This position will do an information exchange with the prior and forth coming shifts in regard to: status, issues and any pertinent information that the next shift may need. This position will also communicate directly with Manufacturing & Quality Managers.
MONITORING FIRST PIECE APPROVAL SIGN OFF – This position will be responsible for monitoring the First Piece Approvals that Quality Inspectors approve. And to give additional spot training/mentoring regarding 1st Piece Sign Offs when there are issues. This position has the authority to override a Quality Inspector’s approval.
RECORDING DATA – This position will be responsible for accurately recording key quality data in the AMPS system and in SmartSheets, to ensure press Operators are given proper credit for set-ups, garments produced, and reject rates.
6S – This position will be responsible for maintaining 6s standards.

The Press Tech will oversee the production of 2 presses on the Screen Print floor. His/her primary purpose is to ensure efficient production of those presses through communication, problem
identification, troubleshooting, aiding in machine set-up, and ink maintenance while ensuring quality standards are achieved and maintained.
• Set-ups/Tear downs – Participate in as many setups as possible throughout the day. The goal should be to communicate with and assist the Print Specialist with the goal of minimizing set up time.
• Pre-emptive Problem Identification/Resolution – minimize machine downtime by reviewing orders before they are being setup to identify possible reshoots, art issues, or garment issues. Work with Run Teams to ensure they have all the proper tools to be successful.
• On-Press Troubleshooting – through constant communication and observation during the run assist presses in getting to maximum productivity by making any press adjustments necessary. (press speed, squeegees, flash temp, dryer speed/temp, sequence, registration, etc)
• Ink Maintenance/Controls – Ensure ink controls and SOPs are being followed at all times. Work throughout the production runs to ensure ink is maintained properly in the screens to minimize any downtime.
• Quality Management – Achieve first shirt sign-off and constantly communicate with the press teams to ensure quality is sustained throughout the run.
• Production Detail Updates – Ensure all set-ups which are completed but required a sequence/mesh change are documented and turned in so the proper adjustments get made in the system.
• Must demonstrate a good attitude and lead by example when communicating while working with high sense of urgency and pace.
