Your key responsibilities
- Design and develop ETL processes using SSIS to extract data from various sources, transform the data according to business rules, and load it into the data warehouse.
- Work with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Implement data cleansing, deduplication, and data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
- Source System Analysis, Data Modelling, ETL development, and deployment.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ETL processes, data models, and data flow diagrams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data integration and data quality.
- Assist in the deployment of SSIS packages to production environments and provide post-deployment support.
- Contribute towards EY ETL competency building initiatives outside your project responsibilities.
Skills and attributes for success
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on ETL development using SSIS.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and working with large datasets.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiar with DevOps. Preferable – having deployment knowledge.
- Willingness to pickup new technologies as and when needed.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Be a computer science graduate or equivalent with more than 5 years of industry experience.
- Experience with other ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, or Azure Data Factory.
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or SSRS.
- Certifications related to Microsoft SQL Server or data engineering.
- Have working experience in an Agile base delivery methodology (Preferable)
- Development experience in Snowflake (nice to have)
- Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution.
- Good analytical skills and enjoys solving complex technical problems.
- Proficiency in Software Development Best Practices
- Good debugging and optimization skills
- Good communicator (written and verbal formal and informal).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Preferable)
