Key responsibilities include ensuring a seamless supply of critical medicines through our supplier network while navigating diverse regulatory landscapes and country-specific routes to market.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Participate actively as a senior leader at the Manufacturing Supply Chain and Energy, Environmental Sustainability and Integrated Logistics Procurement & Sourcing Organization Leadership teams.

  • Strategic Alignment: Align procurement strategies with the multifaceted objectives of our company's diverse divisions — Manufacturing, R&D, Global Human Health, and Animal Health — ensuring the seamless availability of resources to support production, commercialization and R&D initiatives across all regions.

  • Global Strategy Development:

    • Lead the creation and execution of global strategies and supplier performance metrics for distribution services supporting over $60 billion in sales, while leveraging partnerships with industry leaders worldwide.

    • Develop comprehensive strategies across logistics sub-categories, ensuring that implementation plans incorporate elements of Business Diversity and Environmental Sustainability, in alignment with the company’s overarching ambitions.

  • Risk Management : Develop and enforce risk mitigation plans and strategies to guarantee efficient and timely deliveries to customers and patients across each country/ division.

  • Leadership in Sourcing: Provide strategic leadership in creating and executing sourcing strategies, category management, and supplier performance management to deliver sustainable value for the organization.

  • Team Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for executing collaborative strategies with Supply Chain organizations, including supplier relationship management, to promote continuous improvement in operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and risk mitigation across the global supply chain.

  • Process Evaluation and Optimization: Evaluate and enhance logistics and procurement processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices while driving initiatives toward net-zero emissions and heightened environmental sustainability.

  • Cost Management Initiatives: Achieve cost control, reduction, and containment objectives across multiple procurement categories through proactive management strategies.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish and lead cross-functional teams across all divisions to design and implement breakthrough strategies that deliver both quick wins and significant innovations in purchasing.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years of global work experience in relevant areas of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain management, with a robust foundation in the logistics sector, including experience in a leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience defining and deploying new strategies across a global organization, with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, collaboration, and driving strong partnership.

  • Strong leadership capabilities with a track record of developing, mentoring, and retaining top-tier talent within the supply chain industry.

  • Experience managing significant budgets and financial performance metrics, demonstrating an understanding of cost management and profitability.

  • A proven track record in stakeholder engagement and collaboration driving strong partnerships.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic procurement plans, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to achieve operational excellence.

  • Ability to create a highly energized environment of exceptional performance. Creating a culture of accountability, and personnel excellence, with a commitment to coaching and developing others

  • Exemplary communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities to effectively interact with internal and external partners at all levels.

  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and define business problems and identify’ appropriate operational or process solutions, and present to business leaders for consensus and buy-in

  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to optimize stakeholder/supplier relationships.

  • Ability to bring creativity and innovation to problem solving, organizational development and people leadership.

  • Ability to work self-directed in a fast-paced global matrixed environment.

  • Cultural awareness and the ability to work with international teams, often remotely.

  • Able to travel up to 30% (as needed)

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$227,300.00 - $357,900.00
