Citi’s Functions Technology Group is responsible for delivering Technology solutions across Citi. Functions Technology mission is to optimize Citi's Technology environment by delivering world class applications, driving standardization of the production environment, reducing complexity, optimizing management of systems supporting global functions such as Compliance, Controls, Internal Audit and Risk, and introducing innovative technologies that provide new business capabilities, reduce the technology total cost of ownership, and create a competitive advantage for Citi.

Responsibilities

• Ensure essential procedures are followed and contribute to defining standards.
• Integrate in-depth knowledge of applications development with overall technology function to achieve established goals.
• Provide evaluative judgement based on analysis of facts in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations including drawing from internal and external sources.
• Influence and negotiate with senior leaders across functions, as well as communicate with external parties, as necessary.
• Manage a team of professionals to accomplish established goals and conduct personnel duties for team (e.g., performance evaluations, hiring and disciplinary actions)
• Provide strategic influence and exercise control over resources, budget management and planning while monitoring end results.
• Utilize in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of hands-on experience Data EngineerJava/J2EE and SQLwith experience managing small to mid-size team.
• This role will work with the supporting the Risk Business platform. This is being built right now.
• Eco system using Object-Oriented Programming, Spring Framework, JDBC/Hibernate, JMS/TIBCO, Oracle PL/SQL, and Mongo DB
• Experience in enterprise development solutions in OpenShift container orchestration cloud platform utilizing Kubernetes and Spring Boot components.
• In-depth understanding in Big Data technologies such as RDD, Data frames, dataset within Hadoop, Spark framework (Spark API)and distributed databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
• Master’s degree preferred.
