Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
Experience with optical network installation, maintenance and operation for service providers or enterprise networks navigating Element Management System (EMS) and Network Management Station (NMS).
Experience in Optical or IP network operations.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting Layer 1 and Layer 3.
Knowledge of fiber types and their applications, including physical fiber characteristics and standard testing tools (e.g., OSA,BERT, OTDR).
Knowledge of network transport design, equipment, and infrastructure.
Ability to troubleshoot Dense Wavelength-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
