Senior Developer Java (Backend-Performance Tuning) – Joule (f/m/d)

What you will do

As a Senior developer, you will be excepted to:

• Model, design, implement, and test software with openness to new technologies and challenges

• Creation of production-level database designs

• Database fine-tuning like optimized indexing, sql query optimization etc, Database scalability like horizontal/Vertical portioning etc.

• Help in Performance tuning at all layers (API, GUI)

• Active player in the scrum team

• Mentor junior colleagues in the team

• Conduct Proof of Concepts to establish a viable approach to solving a problem statement.

• Utilize performance profiling tools to identify bottlenecks at the application, network, and infrastructure layers, including JVM, CPU, memory, and I/O profiling.

• Architect solutions to handle increasing data traffic and maintain high availability, resiliency in distributed systems.

• Analyze, tune, and optimize event-driven services, including Apache Kafka, for optimal throughput and low-latency processing.

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration with focus on Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics or related area

• 9-11 years’ of relevant experience

• Excellent development skills in Java (Must Have)

• Prior Experience in working with Springboot (Must Have)

• Expertise in production level Database designing, Database fine tuning like optimized indexing, sql query optimization etc, Database scalability like Horizontal/Vertical portioning etc.(Must Have)

• Sound knowledge of Computer science fundamentals, data structures, design patterns and architecture principles and MicroServices.(Must Have)

• Exposure to EDA (Event Driven Architecture) like Kafka (Good to Have)

• Ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasking environment and be a team player

• Advanced skills in continuous integration principles and tools

• Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills in English

• Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality design output
