Your impact
Our top candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), a basic understanding of GIS and CAD systems, and is interested in applying highway safety research to transportation planning and design projects. Experience with computer programming (e.g. python) is a plus. There will be the opportunity to work on exciting transportation and safety projects across the country.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Report daily to either the Chicago office (except on preapproved occasions)
- Work with planning and analysis teams in support of local and national traffic safety and operations projects
- Prepare, analyze, and evaluate data (safety data, crash reports, demographic information) from sources such as various Departments of Transportation, local clients, and manual data collection.
- Visually present the data in tables, charts, graphs, diagrams, and maps using programs.
- Participate in client and stakeholder meetings as a representative of Jacobs.
