We are seeking for a Lawyer to join our EY Law – Corporate Law department in İstanbul with the following qualifications. As a Corporate Law Assistant in our corporate law division, you will play a vital role in supporting our attorneys by performing a variety of administrative and legal tasks. Your responsibilities will include document preparation, legal research, and client communication, among others. You will work closely with our legal team to ensure the smooth operation of the corporate law practice. The required qualifications are as follows;

  • Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable Turkish University or from a Foreign University with equivalency in Turkey
  • Minimum 1 to 3 years of full-time experience in big four, in a law firm or in a multinational company.
  • Experience in the field of Turkish Commercial Code and Turkish Code of Obligations and eager to work in the projects regarding the relevant legislation also covering corporate related compliance matters such as Competition Law, Data Privacy.
  • Interest and enthusiasm in corporate and commercial law, contract law, labor law and compliance matters is required.
  • Familiarity with corporate legal procedures, protocols, transactions and due diligence
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (both in Turkish and in English).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
  • Able to communicate in multi cultural business environment.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as contracts, agreements, and corporate filings.
  • Conduct legal research on corporate law matters and compile findings for attorney review.
  • Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up to date and easily accessible.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, and scheduled transactions.
  • Communicate with clients, providing updates and gathering necessary information.
  • Maintain a calendar of legal deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements.
  • Draft correspondence and legal documents under attorney supervision.
  • Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, filing, and data entry.
  • Participate in relevant educational programs to develop soft and technical skills.
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
