Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in development of mechanical process construction or other large, complicated infrastructure programs. Data Center or chiller plant construction experience a plus.
  • Professional licenses in Construction Management orMechanicalEngineering or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work effectively across teams, effectively manage schedules, support commissioning teams and procedures, equipment coordination, delivery schedule, documentation and turnover processes.
  • Experience managing large multi-faceted mechanical projects.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines.
  • Experience in planning and installation of HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) and piping/plumbing systems and installing equipment such as pumps, exchangers, and compressors, chillers andVariable Frequency Drive.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure safe working conditions have been established by reviewing documentation and procedures.

2. Manage general contractors and vendor performance along with their integration with internal partners to ensure

project delivery on time and on budget.

3. Follow project implementation schedules to deliver the hardware engineering aspects of a well-defined feature or product. Escalate issues to management, as necessary.

4. Work with construction and commissioning teams to ensure safe working conditions to thoroughly test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems.

5. Apply influence, strategies, and negotiation skills to identify options and recommend solutions.

1. Effectively communicate key needs to the engineering and sourcing teams.

2. Highlight potential issues that may affect downstream execution of projects (e.g., performance vs. reliability and fabrication concerns).

3. Provide the project with a point of contact for development and delivery of electrical systems.

4. Coordinate meetings and activities of vendors, cost managers, and integration of lessons learned.

5. Attend scheduled owner/architect/contractor (OAC) and other project meetings and reporting, as necessary.

6. Report Project Progress on scope, schedule, and budget weekly or as required.

7. Provide weekly project status reporting to DCD standards.

Vendor Management and contract compliance:

1. Provide Vendor oversight and performance management by walking the construction sites daily.

2. Review Request for Proposal (RFP’s) and other project approval tools.

3. Review vendor scope of work, and design review of site and building plans.

4. Validate vendor pay-application and invoice review and approval.

5. Manage compliance with prior audit results and recommendations.
