hiring a Hydraulic Engineer/ Senior Hydraulic Engineer who will be responsible for performing hydraulic and surge analysis studies including corresponding equipment sizing calculations and hydraulic calculation reports, to ensure the safe and efficient operation of fluid systems within industrial applications, particularly in potable water & wate water facilities. The engineer should have basic knowledge in analysing fluid dynamics, surge pressure, and transient flows to mitigate risks and design systems that can withstand hydraulic surges, using software such as WaterGEMS and water hammer programs.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

•Perform surge analysis of piping systems to identify potential hydraulic surge risks, including pressure transients and water hammer effects. Using software such as Hammer or Wanda programs.
Has basic knowledge about the anti-protection equipment (e.g., surge vessels, pressure relief valves, accumulators, and air chambers).
• Analyse system pressure profiles and transient behaviour during start-up, shutdown, and operational changes to ensure the system is within safe operating limits. Provide recommendations for pressure control and flow stabilization.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, instrumentation, and control engineers, to ensure integrated designs. Collaborate with project management, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure designs meet operational requirements.
• Ensure that all designs and engineering analyses are in accordance with relevant international codes and standards, like API, ASME, and ISO, especially when it comes to hydraulic surge and pressure transient phenomena.
• Provide technical assistance during commissioning and operation to resolve issues related to hydraulic surge events. Conduct field investigations to identify and resolve surge-related issues in fluid systems.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, design calculations, and technical documentation on hydraulic surge analyses and mitigation strategies. Maintain accurate records of all engineering activities.

Here's what you'll need

• Bachelors degree in Civil, Mechanical or relevant Engineering field.
• 3+ years of experience in hydraulic and surge analysis within knowledge of WaterGEMS and Hammer software.

• Good skill in modeling hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with API, ASME, and other relevant industry standards for pressure systems.
