In this role, you will drive cross-functional programs and feature areas in Siri’s Response technologies across all Apple products. You will partner with engineering management to lead projects through the software development lifecycle from concept to delivery.You should bring solid experience in system software, machine learning, and project management, strong communication and leadership skills, and a track record of driving and delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously. You should demonstrate high integrity, high energy, and feel comfortable in a dynamic and constantly changing environment. As an experienced project leader for various complex and at times highly ambiguous technical projects, you will need to build strong collaborative relationships within the organization as well as cross-functionally, and confidently and calmly manage any conflicts and challenges along the way. You will be responsible for successful outcomes and delivery, driving your projects with a keen eye for important details and communicating clearly on status and risks.
- 5+ years of related experience with a BS/MS, Computer Science / Engineering, or relevant industry experience
- Experience in a machine learning program or project management
- Experience and consistent track record leading and shipping multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Experience driving and delivering critical project features that involve integration with multiple different teams
- Solid knowledge of software development practices
- Curiosity and passion for new technologies, and proven ability to quickly understand technical concepts
- Ability to create and execute plans in ambiguous settings, identifying priorities and driving what matters
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
- Excellent collaboration skills, working together with different teams, and fostering trust
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
- Familiarity or prior experience in any of the following areas is desirable: artificial intelligence, machine learning, and accuracy evaluation.
- Prior experience in hands-on software or model development is desired.
