We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Project Manager in the Bronx, NY who thrives when people are in sync and projects are running like they should. In this role, you’ll lead multiple various construction projects in an occupied healthcare facility. These projects will be in various phases of a project’s life cycle from design, procurement to construction. As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible to oversee all projects and support the advancement of projects from design into construction as well as lead a team to oversight construction activities. Reporting to the Program Director, you’ll work with a pre-construction team to review design documents for constructability, work with the estimating team to deliver project estimates and lead efforts to support the client in securing funding for the individual projects. You will interact daily with client leadership to coordinate and advance projects. You’ll monitor contractor adherence to safety plans, facility safety, and ICRA requirements. You’ll coordinate ongoing work between projects and with the facility engineering team. You’ll be responsible for reviewing and approving monthly contractor invoices and provide recommendations for payment as well as review contractor forecasts and monthly schedule updates and provide feedback. You’ll schedule, chair, and provide minutes for bi-weekly progress and coordination meetings with the contractors and client personnel. You’ll review contractor’s change orders and provide recommendations for justification and cost and monitor project documentation including submittals, RFIs, bulletins, contract changes, and invoices. As the senior leader on the project, you will have fiscal responsibility for Jacobs services on the project.

Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
+15 years’ experience as a Construction Manager with responsibility for three (3) or more phases of construction namely pre-design, design, procurement, construction, and post-construction phases
Strong construction contract knowledge and ability to mitigate risk
Understanding of financial and operational management and analysis of technical estimating and budgeting tools for construction
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications with strong working knowledge of ICRA and ILSM standards, building codes, NFPA, FGI Guidelines and OSHA requirements
Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written and interpersonal)
MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills
OSHA 40
Ideally, you’ll also have:
5+ years’ experience in healthcare construction/rehabilitation projects
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Professional Engineer (PE) credential
