Consultant – Technology Assurance – Perth

As a Consultant in our Technology Assurance team in Perth you will assist clients in employing proper information systems, resources, and controls to maximise efficiencies and minimise risk. You can expect to work with client personnel to analyse, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process and you’ll be able to learn from and assist clients and other Assurance professionals in performing information technology control engagements.

- Supporting the execution of audits/assessments of IT processes against leading practice IT risk and security frameworks and common standards (e.g. CoBIT, ITIL, ISO 27001, Sarbanes Oxley Act).
- Participation in IT Assurance/Audit engagements - including the execution of evaluating and design of IT controls (e.g. application & IT general controls) in support of external audits.
- Assisting with the preparation of reports for clients and other stakeholders.
- Working effectively across multiple internal and external teams, building your professional network across the service line and with clients.
- Working with the broader team to provide client deliverables on time and to the standard expected by the client and engagement partner/principal.

- A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team
- Demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems.
- Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations.
- Good report writing capability.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A Bachelor or Master’s degree qualification in IT or related discipline, although finance, business or accounting qualifications will also be considered.
- Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP)
