As a key member of AWS Fintech, you'll partner with finance leaders, product teams, and business stakeholders to transform complex financial data into clear, actionable insights that drive AWS's strategic direction. You'll help shape how AWS understands and optimizes its financial performance across its global operations.Key job responsibilities
- Use statistical and machine learning techniques to create the next generation of the tools that inform strategic decision-making at AWS's highest levels- Create predictive models and analytical solutions that provide deep insights into revenue patterns, cost structures, and growth opportunities
- Develop innovative approaches to complex financial problems using advanced statistical methods and machine learning- Drive the adoption of data-driven decision making across AWS Finance
- Mentor junior data scientists and promote best practices in financial analytics

- 5+ years of data scientist experience
- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong experience with statistical modeling, machine learning, and causal inference
