Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the first legal touchpoint for all new laws, rules, and regulations that may be applicable to Capital One’s lines of business, and draft accurate and understandable summaries and requirements for business lines
Analyze existing and newly enacted laws impacting Capital One, and provide nuanced, effective advice to legal and business stakeholders, in partnership with subject matter experts, in those areas
Advise lines of businesses on the legal significance and interpretation of applicable laws and regulations tailored to specific business processes and practices

Basic Qualifications:
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency doing work related to the financial service industry
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and flexibility to adapt to changing needs
Ability and desire to learn new areas of law
Ability and willingness to work as a team player
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
This is a hybrid role working from the office Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday.
