As a STAR student, you will have the opportunity to:

- DevOps Engineer– Focus on automating and streamlining the development, deployment, and operational processes. Managing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing infrastructure, and ensuring smooth and reliable software delivery.
- AI/ML Engineer– Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and AI solutions. Involve in data preprocessing, algorithm selection, model training, and deployment to solve complex business problems.
- Full Stack Developer– Work on both front-end and back-end development to build applications. Tasks include developing user interfaces, server-side logic, database management, and ensuring seamless integration between different application layers.
- Data Engineer– Design and construct data pipelines to collect, process, and store large datasets. Developing ETL processes, optimizing data storage, and ensuring data quality and accessibility for analytics.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
STAR Program candidates will be:
- Studying Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Data Science.
- Have at least 18+ months remaining until the completion of their studies.
- Able to commit at least one 6-month full-time placement during the program. This can be through a credit-bearing internship, work-study attachment, or a leave of absence.
- Willing and able to work 2 days per week (part-time) during the semester; 5 days per week (full-time) during study breaks.
- Experience in one or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, C++, JavaScript, Node.js or others…).
- Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies.
- Problem-solvers who are fast learners, resilient, proactive, open-minded, have a growth mindset, and can handle pressure effectively.
- Collaborative, and team-oriented.
- Good communication skills in English.
- You are currently studying in Singapore. Priority will be given to Singaporean/ Singapore PR.
