Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of the MLS sourcing strategy across a portfolio of over 250 suppliers.
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships with critical suppliers, driving joint value creation.
  • Introduce and embed AI and automation into sourcing workflows to increase efficiency and improve decision-making.
  • Manage and mentor a team of sourcing and supplier management professionals.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients and ensure supplier delivery meets contractual and service expectations.
  • Work with ServiceNow and other internal systems to optimise data, MI, and supplier performance reporting.
  • Collaborate with risk, legal, and commercial teams to ensure robust supplier contracts and risk mitigation.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Support growth through sourcing solutions for new client opportunities and bids.
  • Responsible for managing strategic and critical supplier relationships to drive high performance and develop mutually beneficial goals.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management in a large, complex and regulated environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and contract management skills.
  • Experience managing supplier and client relationships at senior levels.
  • Solid understanding of operational and third-party risk frameworks.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies including AI and their application in procurement and supply chain.
  • Strong team leadership and coaching skills.
  • Experience with digital platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Coupa, SAP Ariba) desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed consulting or services environment.

To qualify for the role;

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent experience.
  • MCIPS (desirable but not essential).
  • Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2) are a bonus .
