Senior Manager, Sourcing & Supply Chain, People Consulting, Belfast or Derry/Londonderry
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the MLS sourcing strategy across a portfolio of over 250 suppliers.
- Establish and manage strategic partnerships with critical suppliers, driving joint value creation.
- Introduce and embed AI and automation into sourcing workflows to increase efficiency and improve decision-making.
- Manage and mentor a team of sourcing and supplier management professionals.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients and ensure supplier delivery meets contractual and service expectations.
- Work with ServiceNow and other internal systems to optimise data, MI, and supplier performance reporting.
- Collaborate with risk, legal, and commercial teams to ensure robust supplier contracts and risk mitigation.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the supply chain.
- Support growth through sourcing solutions for new client opportunities and bids.
- Responsible for managing strategic and critical supplier relationships to drive high performance and develop mutually beneficial goals.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management in a large, complex and regulated environment.
- Strong commercial acumen, negotiation, and contract management skills.
- Experience managing supplier and client relationships at senior levels.
- Solid understanding of operational and third-party risk frameworks.
- Familiarity with emerging technologies including AI and their application in procurement and supply chain.
- Strong team leadership and coaching skills.
- Experience with digital platforms (e.g. ServiceNow, Coupa, SAP Ariba) desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed consulting or services environment.
To qualify for the role;
- Degree-qualified or equivalent experience.
- MCIPS (desirable but not essential).
- Project or programme management qualifications (e.g. PRINCE2) are a bonus .
