Job responsibilities
- Research, preserve, collect, and release data in support of business partner requests, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining chain-of-custody documentation.
- Execute and track eDiscovery requests using workflow tools, while coordinating with internal IT, business partners, and external vendors to fulfill requests.
- Utilize digital forensic tools to support eDiscovery requests and internal investigations, maintaining detailed summaries of activities performed
- Innovate and implement research projects to stay ahead of emerging technologies, while engaging in projects that improve techniques and processes across teams.
- Act as a subject matter expert for team members and business partners, anticipating and addressing questions related to fulfilling requests, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and value-added services.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years in eDiscovery operations, digital forensics, or similar role
- Strong understanding of eDiscovery tools and platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, EnCase).
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and identify relevant information.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address technical and operational challenges.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
- Experience working with legal, IT, and business teams to fulfill eDiscovery requests.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to eDiscovery and data privacy.
- Certifications such as Certified E-Discovery Specialist (CEDS) or other relevant industry certifications.
- Ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions.
