Job Description

The Associate Director - DigitalManufacturing DivisionValue and Workforce Management Lead plays a vital role in driving the development and oversight of the DigitalManufacturing Divisionportfolio and value management strategy. They actively contribute to continuous Portfolio, CapEx, OpEx, and Value Management activities across DigitalManufacturing Division

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to contribute to the development of a multi-year portfolio strategy, focusing on optimizing the value and impact of digital initiatives

  • Build and lead a team of approximately 7 Investment Managers

  • Support the development of the DigitalManufacturing Division-wide digital portfolio by providing input on disciplined capital allocation, cross-product line prioritization, and value management

  • Lead the oversight of the annual budget, including tracking financial health metrics and ensuring alignment of spending with strategic objectives and value creation

  • Lead the identification and tracking of performance measures for value realization, ensuring accountability for achieving expected outcomes within the digital portfolio

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish and maintain financial and workforce reporting processes across DigitalManufacturing Division, providing insights into portfolio health and value generation

  • Assist in translating complex execution, financial, or strategic challenges into easily understandable communications to drive actionable outcomes for portfolio and value management

  • Provide support in utilizing the Portfolio toolset, leveraging technical skills and financial knowledge to optimize the financial performance of digital projects within the portfolio

  • Identify and help address barriers to cross-functional investment portfolio initiatives, collaborating with different divisions, geographies, and cultures to drive value-based decision-making

  • Align with TCO ways of working and participate in efforts to establish standardized financial orchestration and data strategy across value teams within the digital portfolio

  • Contribute to the consolidation, reporting, and communication of financial performance results across cost categories and rolled up by value teams for DigitalManufacturing Divisionon a monthly and ad-hoc basis

  • Support discussions on variances, cost-saving opportunities, and trade-offs between value teams and cost categories, ensuring portfolio health and value optimization

  • Help promote a TCO mindset across DigitalManufacturing DivisionValue Teams through education initiatives on financial acumen, value management methodologies and best practices

  • Collaborate with users and other functions to ensure effective utilization of business intelligence tools, assisting in troubleshooting complex issues and providing insights for portfolio and value management

  • Contribute to the definition and measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to support value realization and portfolio optimization across DigitalManufacturing Division


Required Experience, Skills, and Qualification:

  • Proficiency and experience in IT portfolio process management is a mandatory requirement for this role

  • Experience in contributing to the development and communication of strategies to various levels of management with a focus on portfolio and value management

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, specifically regarding financial analysis and value quantification

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a matrixed organization, fostering value-driven decision-making

  • Ability to build relationships with leadership and stakeholders, influencing portfolio prioritization and value creation discussions

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams and support talent selection in alignment with portfolio objectives

  • Aptitude for approaching challenges from different perspectives, including data, technology, process, and people, to optimize portfolio value

  • Familiarity with managing priorities and roadmaps within a portfolio context, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives

  • Proficiency in working with dispersed international teams across multiple time zones to drive portfolio and value management outcomes

  • Effective communication and presentation skills for different audiences, distilling complex concepts into actionable insights

  • Self-motivated with a value-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and apply value management methodologies

  • Fluent in English with strong communication skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Exposure to global environments undergoing transformational change

  • Familiarity with lean, agile, and people-centered design techniques within a portfolio management context

  • Prior experience in manufacturing environments or digital culture is an advantage, specifically within the portfolio and value management domain
