Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist Unit Head in all activities relating to the Payment Operations covering domestic and cross border funds transfers
  • Initiate and implement process improvements and automations for Payment Operations
  • Provide oversight and guidance for system upgrades, implementations initiated by regional and in country technology
  • Liaise with Product & Support teams for streamlining of processes/projects related to Payment Operations
  • Correspond with Regulators and other stakeholders for Payment Operations related queries/projects
  • Ensure adherence to Citi policies, internal and external (regulatory)regulations/guidelines
  • Maintain a robust controls environment to mitigate risk relating to Payment Operations
  • Attend to regular/ad-hoc regional and regulatory deliverables
  • Business recovery coordinator & MCA analyst for Payment Operations
  • Manage regional and regulatory projects with test scenario preparation, testing and necessary sign off. For regulatory projects, responsible to prepare the business requirement document after thorough review, conduct discussions with tech teams throughout development, conduct UAT and sanity testing prior to go live.
  • Follow all local operating procedures and either be a maker/checker (basis requirement) of transactional processing
  • Third Party Management functions and governance related matters including oversight of vendor staff
  • Knowledge and experience related to Trade Operations products and processes

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:

  • Undergraduate Degree &/or Professional Qualification (CIMA, CIM, IBSL, ACCA, CA or similar).
  • Strong communication skills (both written & verbal), including ability to deal with Cluster/Regional Partners and Seniors and managing OSP’s (CSC’s & External).
  • Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
  • Excel and/Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to multi-task in all branch Operations/Payment Operations functions, Presentation and Analytical skills
  • Be hands on with current regulatory requirements and ongoing projects
  • Ability to work effectively with product & business partners in driving ‘being the best for our clients’ theme.
  • Strong work ethics, high energy level / roll-up-the-sleeves approach to support the team as needed.
  • Self-motivated, goals & results oriented and ability to implement ‘out of the box’ solutions.
  • Being Tech savvy, performing variance checks and having analytical skills in comparing regulatory reports will be an added advantage.
  • People & Time management.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and positive attitude.
  • 5-8 years managerial work experience which should include managing teams.
  • Relevant payment Operations work experience. Trade Operations experience will be an added advantage
