Develop and enhance power measurement methodologies, ensuring accurate and efficient power tracking across projects.
Implement and refine power modeling techniques for early-stage concept projections and post-release analysis.
Contribute to alignment of power-related strategies under the guidance of senior team members
Collaborate with design, performance, and physical design teams to ensure alignment on power efficiency goals.
Assist in analyzing workloads and identifying areas for improvements
Maintain and improve power documentation and provide technical support to internal and external customers.
Develop tests to stress or characterize the power characteristics of processors
Required Skills and Experience :
A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering along with 3 years of post-degree work experience . Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or another related field) along with at least 5 years of confirmed experience may be substituted
Basic understanding of CPU microarchitecture and interest in power management strategies, with a willingness to learn.
Understanding of the impact of physical design on power characteristics.
Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Tcl).
Ability to write assembly language tests and leverage microarchitectural knowledge to evaluate CPU power characteristics
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
Proficiency in Verilog HDL for design and synthesis.
Hands-on experience with power tools such as PowerPro, PrimePower, or Joules.
Knowledge of thermal management and di/dt mitigation strategies.
