In this role, you will:
Lead a high performing Agile team developing software in Java using object-oriented principals and design patterns
Work directly with Business Analysts, Traders, Sales & Operations personnel, to clearly understand requirements
Create thorough designs – and ensure that these designs integrate well into existing architecture and frameworks
Oversee and/or create/modify SQL database objects (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.) and document store such as MongoDB
Guide the team through thorough unit testing & documentation of development activities
Participate in ‘Peer-reviews’ of source code and provide constructive feedback
Ensure compliance & risk management requisites are appropriately met; work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
Assure quality, maintainability, and extensibility for supported systems and risk applications
Provide Level 3 production support as required
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years Java development experience
3+ years of Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) experience
2+ years or relational or NoSQL DB experience
1+ years of Experience with SDLC and Agile tools such as JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Confluence etc.
Desired Qualifications:
4+ years of Capital Markets Technology related experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment like Front-office Trading, Middle-office and/or Risk Management
4+ years of DevOps tool set based continuous incremental delivery experience
2+ years working Kubernetes like container technology
2+ years working public cloud provider such as Azure or GCP
2+ years using cloud based open source Distributed Caching technology
2+ years of experience working with opensource messaging technologies on cloud such as Apache Kafka/Confluent Enterprise
