By joining our Infrastructure Advisory team as a Senior Manager/Director focussing on the energy transition, you’ll play an important leadership role working with clients from all levels of government and within the private sector on projects that serve our communities and have meaningful impacts on our society. Our projects spanelectricity, gas, renewables, bioenergy, hydrogen, fossil fuel transition and distributed energy resources/EVs.
Types of work you could be involved in include:
Undertaking analysis and prepare draft reports under guidance to support energy policy or regulatory advisory engagements
Undertaking analysis to support commercial advisory work for large-scale renewable generation projects
Developing and maintaining financial and economic models to analyse complex projects
Developing and applying frameworks and methods for assessing value for money, economic and financial impact,
Developing and applying frameworks to examine policy options and regulatory impacts and/or advise on regulatory compliance issues
Developing clear, well written and easy to understand reports and presentations based on your analysis to assist our clients in understanding complex problems
Contributing to assignments by ensuring that work products and services are client focused, clear, accurate and well presented.

We are looking for a Senior Manager who is passionate about the energy sector to join the team at EY that is focused on supporting the transition of the energy sector to a low-emissions future. The types of attributes you could have include:
10+ years experience in a commercial, strategy, or regulatory roles in the energy sector
Understanding of key regulatory, commercial and financial issues in the energy sector, including the decarbonisation context, emerging technologies (e.g. DER, future fuels), and how energy market are structured
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high presentation standards, ability to think strategically when problem solving and a track record of undertaking insightful, data-driven quantitative analysis
Ability to lead and manage multiple projects/people concurrently, and effectively prioritise competing demands
Excellent interpersonal and client management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
A proactive, supportive, and respectful approach to the team, with the ability to function under appropriate pressures but also ask for help when required
A commitment to a strong positive team culture and enthusiasm for working in a flexible and diverse team environment.
