Job Description:

This high level performer will create great connections for our sales reps into the largest and most impressive companies in the Northern European market. The BDR will achieve this primarily through their own prospecting of leads, supplemented by additional campaigns from internal teams, such as Enterprise Marketing. The BDR will use appropriate methods, such as calling, email, and social/professional platforms to filter, identify, and warm up these leads to then pass across to our Enterprise Sales reps to close the deal. Ultimately, you will boost sales and contribute to our long-term business growth.

Your day to day:

  • Use your market knowledge to proactively identify merchants not yet using PayPal and build a pipeline of prospective leads to contact.
  • Contact prospective merchants across phone, email, in-person events and social platforms to generate and uncover new opportunities.
  • Perform initial needs assessment of prospect while identifying existing pain points to determine how PayPal’s platform could address those needs.
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) merchants and our enterprise sales executives.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records for all activities in Salesforce.com
  • Research and stay up to date on current market trends, opportunities and competition
  • Conduct research to expand contact lists within targeted accounts using tools like Zoominfo, Sales Navigator and other methods.

What do you need to bring:

  • Desire to learn enterprise sales methodologies and strategies.
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Executive or similar role. SaaS sales experience is a plus.
  • Dynamic hunter personality with a drive to reach decision makers is essential.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving both individual and team goals in a professional setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively, both on a team and individually, in a high energy, ever-changing, dynamic sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com and Outreach.io is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Good knowledge of the Northern European market (Benelux, Ireland and the Nordics) ecommerce trends
  • Excellent level of English is required
