About the Role
eero is a small and lean team. This means you'll enjoy an outsized impact and the benefit of having many different responsibilities. All within a day you'll be planning for new hardware programs 24 months out, asking the team to reproduce high priority bug coming from the field, grooming the backlog of bugs without reproductions, syncing with stakeholders on upcoming projects, and of course helping test the product. This role has a wide breadth with many stakeholders which keeps it challenging and fun. This role and the team are based in Los Gatos, California.
Key job responsibilities
- Balance and prioritize incoming requests while regularly delivering validation on tight timelines.- Build detailed schedules and technical requirements from high level product descriptions.- Analyze performance and stability data from our testing and production populations to catch regressions and validate new features.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
- 8+ years of industry experience, including at least three years of hands-on testing and 3 years as a Quality Assurance manager
- Experience in building and managing automation
- Experience in managing manual testing
- Experience in consumer electronics product, distributed systems design and testing required
- Knowledge of QA concepts and methodology


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Deep hands-on technical expertise in testing WiFi from the physical layer and up. For example, you can easily analyze an over the air packet capture.
- Experience with automating multiple heterogeneous mix of client applications and embedded software devices is required
- Passionate about developing and mentoring others
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences
- Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
- Leverage field data and are capable of analyzing it. For instance, you are happy to build a confidence interval, run a t-test, or build out a model.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and to be able to synthesize the results
