Job Requirements:
- Lead Optical Integration : Own the assembly, calibration, and final testing of precision optics in high-complexity imaging systems.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Systems, Optics, and Software teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and optimize performance.
- Process Development : Create and document best practices for optical assembly and design for manufacturability (DfM).
- Mentorship & Problem Solving : Train technicians and lead structured troubleshooting efforts to ensure quality and consistency.
- Data-Driven Improvements : Analyze MES data using SPC tools to refine processes and enhance specifications.
- Failure Analysis & Resolution : Investigate issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Team Leadership : Guide small, multi-disciplinary teams to tackle optical system challenges.
- Technical Expertise : Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models, with the ability to make basic updates.
- Global Engagement : Travel up to 25% to support supplier and customer interactions worldwide.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with high-complexity, low-volume capital equipment—especially in optical alignment and metrology.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global, interdisciplinary teams.
- Deep knowledge of optics manufacturing and opto-mechanical modules, with a focus on improving material quality and system performance.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years
