Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Operating fixturing/tooling or hand-held electronic equipment (Voltmeter, Caliper, Oscilloscope) to test cable assembly or electronic assembly boxes.
- Manual soldering small electronic components (using a microscope) onto Printed Circuit Boards (resistors, capacitors, dies).
- Visual inspection using a microscope (20x magnification) for dies, resistors, capacitors to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Implement systematical problem-solving approach to find root cause and make correction plan forequipment/material/process issues.
- Work with Manufacturing Engineering teams to resolve issues with released products.
- Handling or attaching small components (die, capacitors, resistors) using tweezers and in house build fixture.
- Performing visual inspection IQC (incoming quality inspection)/OQC (outgoing quality inspection) on raw parts (flex, PCBA, silicon substrate).
- Handling dilute chemical solutions (IPA, DI water, Acetone, epoxy) to clean products.
- Perform functional tests on products.
Your experience & qualifications
- HNC / HND qualified in Electrical, Electronic Engineering (or similar subject) or hold equivalent level qualification.
- Ideally have experience in electronic assembly, PCB assembly and soldering.
- Possesses excellent analytical and fault-finding skills,
- The ability to utilise electrical and mechanical schematics to rectify faults and defects.
- Know how to operate fixturing/tooling or hand-held electronic equipment (Voltmeter, Caliper, Oscilloscope)
- Demonstrates strong communication – You’ll enjoy establishing and maintaining good working relationships with colleagues in your own and wider team.
- Have experience in a manufacturing and/or shop-floor environment. Clean room experience is desirable.
- Familiar with handling wafers/substrates
- Experience with MS Office products.
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday. There may occasionally be the need to work on a shift basis due to business requirements. Some international travel will be required for role related training.
