This work involves the development ofbroadly applicable, high-impact solution patterns and open-source software assets that contribute to the Microsoft platform. In this role, you will be working with engineers from your team and our customers’ teams to apply your skills, perspectives, and creativity to grow as engineers and help solve our customers’ toughest challenges.

Principal Software Engineering Managerwith deep experience andteams who design and deliver solutions using modern software engineering practices and cloud technologies. You and your team will work together to solve exciting business problems, contribute to open source, and collaborate with Microsoft product teams. You will mentor and coach leads and engineers across our team, sharing yourand learning from them too.our customers and advance their careers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience
  • 4+years peoplemanagement experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
