We're looking for an experienced Software Development Manager (SDM) to lead the development of the next generation of driver support software systems. This is a high-impact role where you'll shape the technology powering one of the most complex customer service operations in the world. As the SDM, you'll independently own and deliver the software that supports our global network of delivery drivers. You'll lead a skilled team through the full software lifecycle - from designing conversational AI solutions to deploying and maintaining mission-critical systems.The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of software engineering leadership experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, customer-facing systems at scale. Strong technical background, agile expertise, and exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. Experience with large language models (LLMs) or conversational AI will be highly valuable.Key job responsibilities

- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Bachelor's degree

- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
