Qualifications
Should be self-sufficient with minimal guidance with the following tasks:
High school completed or minimum 2 years of experience as an electro-mechanical technician is a must. Associate degree in the area of computer and/or mechanical field is a plus. College degree in the relevant computer and/or mechanical field is not a must but highly desirable.
Setup and debug issues with post-silicon hardware dev platforms including development boards, form-factor devices, connectivity and power supply equipment, and thermal units/chambers.
Debugging system failures: Run post-silicon tests to isolate failures and discuss results and next steps with engineers.
Running tests on automated test handlers and systems
Setting up computer automation and efficient test procedures and flows.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiar with Windows PC’s, basic networking protocols, and networking hardware including IP power switches. Preferred Qualification (these are a plus):

Prior experience supporting lab equipment such as racks, thermal units, scopes, test platforms and basic electrical & operational knowledge
Responsibilities
Set up test platforms and PC connections; Setup and debug issues with post-silicon hardware dev platforms including development boards, form-factor devices, connectivity and power supply equipment, and thermal units/chambers. Run regression tests and debug experiments with guidance from engineers
Reconfigure HW of setup as per need, and triage user reported issues with setup
Work with PMs to get list of equipment to order & follow up on orders/ETAs
Serve as POC for a project to participate in planning and bring-up & post-bring-up activities
Manage inventory of parts and tools § Work with engineers and SOC bring-up team to assess existing inventory and place and follow up on new orders.
Support lab service requests from engineer teams.
Troubleshoot faulty electrical and mechanical systems pertaining to handlers and their inputs.
Prepare new robotic pick-and-place handlers for use by test and debug engineers.
Install changeover kits for different projects (thermal equipment, handlers)
Support IT & lab maintenance activities
Ensure lab cleanliness, safety, and organization.
Assist with R&D effort on lab initiatives.
The candidate’s responsibility is to handle post-silicon testing, characterization, and regression in the lab. The individual in this role will be supporting the engineers in this department. The candidate will also be responsible for handling QCOM post-silicon hardware platforms, installing boards, running, and debugging diagnostics software. Candidate should be open to working overtime.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
Associate's degree and 1+ year of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of Engineering Technician or related work experience.
Physical Requirements:
• Frequently transports and installs equipment weighing at least 25 lbs.
