What to Expect  Tesla Energy is looking for a highly skilled Engineering Technician to sustain battery module line equipment including basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting, tester and robot recoveries, and mechanical design using CAD. This role may involve working a night shift schedule, but flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, and swing shifts, is required. 
 What You’ll Do -  Troubleshoot equipment/process faults on the module line and help recover, report, and escalate when needed 
 -  Support Engineers in adhoc or planned downtime activities including clear understanding of electrical/mechanical equipment, PLC, troubleshooting, and operation of equipment 
 -  Help create/modify equipment troubleshooting guides and train operation teams when applicable 
 -  Support Engineers in submitting and managing orders including vendor communication, obtaining quotes, on and offsite logistics, PO creation, and asset management 
 -  Audit spares and add/remove items, change minimum quantities, for all equipment in the line 
 
  What You’ll Bring -  Degree in Mechnical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 
 -  2+ years of experience in an engineering development environment 
 -  Great engineering drawing skills (CAD) 
 -  Experience with test equipment as well as strong troubleshooting skills 
 -  Ability to command the english language both written and verbal 
 -  Safety oriented – must be able to identify energy sources in order to disable and verify safe through LOTO or other means. Must understand all site hazards and mitigate risk 
 -  Strong interpersonal and communications skills as well as a positive attitude, eagerness to learn, ability to change direction quickly 
 -  Basic level understanding of PLC and ignition preferred
