Key Qualifications
- Minimum BS and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with CPU architecture and micro-architecture concepts
- Experience working in a performance modeling environment
- Experience with tracing on silicon for performance evaluation
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Perl
- Comfortable with C and C++
- Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads
- Knowledge of OS internals and compiler technology is a plus
- Experience in analyzing application performance
Description
• Collaborate with software and system teams to identify and trace and profile critical workloads for CPU performance and power• Develop representative benchmarks for CPU critical workloads• Capture key workloads from silicon for CPU performance evaluation• Identify hardware and software performance bottlenecks• Work closely with the Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and RTL teams in identification of solutions• Run and analyze workloads on simulators and prototype devices as well as work on developing and automating performance analysis infrastructure
