Working under the guidance of Principal Engineers, Architects, and Lead System Designers, the Lead Electrical Engineer will help to create and own the next-generation system architecture. Work will involve all engineering disciplines in the system, but a special focus on the following is desired.
Design and support electrical subsystems including power electronics, analog/digital boards, and sub-components for mobile X-ray systems
Lead schematic capture, layout review, and design validation for new or updated designs
Coordinate and contribute to resolution of manufacturing and field issues through root cause analysis and electrical troubleshooting
Support product reliability improvements and cost-reduction efforts across the lifecycle
Execute redesigns driven by obsolescence or supplier changes, including technical assessments, testing, and documentation
Lead or support Supplier Change Requests (SCRs) and qualification of alternate parts or components
Drive technical design reviews, verification planning, and documentation aligned with quality systems (ISO 13485, IEC 60601)
Serve as a key technical interface across electrical, mechanical, firmware, systems, and quality teams
Participate in mentoring and coaching of junior engineers
Identify and drive opportunities for design improvement in manufacturability, serviceability, and cost
Will be expected to drive technical designs from concept to execution. This includes prototyping, risk retirement, design reviews, reliability testing, creating requirements and verification plans, design documentation, manufacturing implementation, and field support.
Should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams, have solid technical communication skills, and a strong commitment to product safety, quality, and reliability
