As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will plan, design, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems, bring-up yield, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems that launch cutting-edge, world class products. Qualcomm Hardware Engineers collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop solutions and meet performance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.

High level requirements

  • Candidate should possess a BE/ME in Electronics Engineering from reputed institute with strong fundamentals in VLSI design.

  • Should have minimum 3 years’ experience in physical design with expert level understanding on physical design aspects. Max experience can be 10 years.

  • Strong fundamentals in high-performance, low-power physical design and implementation techniques (with working knowledge of industry synthesis, PnR and STA tools).

  • Should have extensive exposure of working in lower technology nodes: 7nm and below.

  • Specialist expertise on physical design optimizations all the way from floorplan to GDS, also should have know how on how the best can be extracted out of synthesis for design convergence from placement stage.

  • Exposure on power minimization techniques.

  • Should have deep knowledge about clock tree complications and to implement the advance techniques for the best in class clock tree.

  • Exposure on ARM cores implementation is plus.

  • Should be aware about IR drop complexities as well.

  • Proficiency in programming and scripting (Python, TCL, Perl) with strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms. Specific skills on TCL programming using Innovus command sets.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
