Key Responsibilities:
Coordination of Electrical Systems Design: Lead the design and engineering of electrical infrastructure systems for the Bromont facility, ensuring that technical concepts meet client requirements.
Supervision of Plans and Specifications: Oversee and validate electrical plans and specifications for low and medium voltage systems, as well as controls and instrumentation, ensuring compliance with quality standards and technical requirements.
Cost Estimation and Feasibility Studies: Accurately estimate construction costs and perform feasibility studies to ensure that projects are delivered within budget and time constraints.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to system managers, project leaders, and space managers, offering expertise to ensure that project goals are met efficiently and within scope.
Collaboration with Canadian Team: Act as the main technical resource for the Canadian team, ensuring proper alignment with local requirements and global best practices.
Requirements:
Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical design and project management, with a proven ability to deliver complex technical solutions.
Professional Membership: Member in good standing with the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec.
Bilingualism: Proficiency in both French and English is essential for effective communication across the team and with clients.
Systems Manager
Responsible for the engineering of electrical systems (Normal electrical distribution up to 120kV – transformation, power factor, wave quality, variable frequency drive, etc.)
Plan the systems (operation strategy, replacement and growth strategy, load and capacity monitoring, planning/creation of investment requests, disaster recovery plans)
Monitor changes to laws, standards, and regulations, and ensure their implementation
Identify and resolve the root causes of technical and process problems
Support projects related to the systems for which they are responsible
Skills
