We're looking for a talented software engineer to architect and optimize Media Access Control (MAC) layer solutions for our next-generation satellite communication platform. You'll work at the intersection of space technology and wireless communications, leveraging your expertise in:- Bare-metal embedded systems
- Embedded Linux development
- Modern systems programming (Rust/C)The Role- Design and implement MAC layer protocols for wireless communication systems
- Develop efficient real-time software for resource-constrained embedded platforms
- Optimize protocol performance for latency-sensitive applications

About the team
Our team tackles many critical satellite functions including power management, hardware interfaces, command & telemetry, and autonomous control. We are looking for an outstanding software engineer to participate in all phases of software development from requirements through implementation and test to operations.

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
