As a Ford Key Account Manager you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Driving sales growth of 3M’s Automotive product portfolio at Ford and with applicable Tier suppliers in coordination with global team.
- Developing applications and advance the commercialization of new products in the Automotive segment by directly interfacing with all levels of Ford including Purchasing, Design, Development Engineering and Program Management.
- Identifying, forecasting and executing target sales penetration of Ford vehicle platforms.
- Responsible for identifying new commercialization opportunities in conjunction with Ford and 3M portfolio teams.
- Utilizing effective leadership skills, product knowledge and market knowledge to solve complex system challenges with 3M solutions.
- Collaborating with the global key account team and manage opportunity pipeline with appropriate CRM tools.
This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of ten (10) years of combined experience working in a Sales, Engineering, and/or Military in a private, public, government or military environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and a minimum of three (3) years of combined experience in one or more of the following areas: Sales, Engineering and/or Militaryin a private, public, government or military environment.
AND
- Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master’s degree in business, engineering or manufacturing from an accredited institution
- Five (5) years of sales, engineering or program management experience with Tier 1s and OEMs in the Automotive market or other experience selling technical product portfolio solutions.
- Excellent presentation, organizational and relationship building skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem solving skills.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office, Salesforce and related sales software as required.
Work location:Livonia, Michigan
- Hybrid Eligible (Job Duties allow for some remote work but require travel to Livonia, MI at least 1 days per week)
