About the Job: This is a client facing role in Mumbai. The job requires an Engineer to administer the Openshift set up for the large PSU. He is required to provide RCA and resolve L2 tickets for the customer issues. He is required to provide Solutions to customer problems and create SOPs for the day 2 day operations. The individual is required to support the Day2 operations of the customer. The Job requires the individual to work in Shifts. What will you do?
Assist the Client with the review of the implemented design documentationManage status and health of OpenshiftManage masters and nodes- Addition and remove of apps / worker nodesSecure OpenShift- Patches and maintain the security architecture / policies defined during LLDControl access to resources on OpenShiftMonitor and collect metrics on OpenShiftCollaborate with the Customer capacity team and provide technical inputs.Openshift BackupBe able to analyze Openshift performance issues and provide solutions.Assist and engage with the client on BaU activities.Categorizing & providing work around for resolutions & defectsCollaborate with Ops team for identification of critical updates, upgrades and validating such in non-prod setup.Provide RCA and resolution for priority 1 & other important tickets tickets for critical updates, upgradesHealth check for critical applications\ WorkloadsKnowledge base addition for support team for first level of Analysis and Basic Log collection in downtime, which will help to reduce the time spend on Incident CallsHelp in troubleshooting the production critical issues \ Priority 1 tickets in conjunction with Red Hat Global Support Services (GSS).Creating SOP ( standard operating procedures) for critical updates, upgrades for roll-outsAssist the Client with the administration of a backlog of tasks in an issue tracking tool, which allow the design to be implemented.Provide knowledge sharing with specified Client representative (s)Provide a report containing details of the engagement activities, findings and status including the following:Configuration information changes for RH OCPSolution specific implementation detailsOperational procedures and operational managementGuidance, advice and recommendations for optimizing and improving the Red Hat environment based on Red Hat enterprise experienceRecommendations for potential process or tool changes to optimize the OCP environmentProvide Daily Report, other reports as requiredCreate SOPWork along with Various Client Stakeholders from Customer locationWork along with Redhat Stakeholders including but not limited to Redhat Support, Account Team, Consulting & Delivery teamWork in Shifts in accordance with Shift Roster (working on holidays, Saturdays & Sundays also) What will you bring?
5+ years of Openshift cluster administration experience
Has a good knowledge on managing container infra setup and should be able to perform the above responsibilities.
Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience
RH certification is preferred.
Good Troubleshooting skills for Openshift clusters
L2 Support and Administration Experience for Openshift clusters
Has experience in working with Large customer setups
Preferred work experience for Indian customers
Experience in working at customer locations. This job is in Mumbai
Has excellent Communication skills to drive technical conversations with the customer.
