What you'll do
- Develop and implement a sustainability strategy for procurement, aligning with the company's overall sustainability goals and objectives.
- Evaluate and assess supplier sustainability performance, including environmental, social, and ethical practices, through audits, assessments, and third-party certifications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including purchasing, supply chain, and sustainability teams, to integrate sustainability criteria into procurement processes and supplier selection criteria.
- Engage with suppliers to drive continuous improvement in sustainability performance, establish clear sustainability expectations, and foster long-term partnerships based on shared values.
- Monitor and track key sustainability metrics related to procurement activities, analyzing data to evaluate performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Stay informed on emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable procurement, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and enhance sustainability efforts.
- Support the development of sustainability reports, presentations, and communications to communicate progress and achievements internally and externally.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Sustainability, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CSR) are preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement, supply chain management, or sustainability, with a focus on sustainable sourcing and supplier management.
- A strong understanding of sustainability principles, frameworks, and standards, with the ability to integrate sustainability criteria into procurement processes and supplier evaluations.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to drive sustainability performance.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive change across all levels of the organization and with external suppliers.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
