As a Senior Data Engineer, you will own expanding and building a new cutting edge data architecture which will fuel the exponentially growing Amazon Shipping business world wide. You will identify gaps in the current architecture, and data and help bridge them. You will also help improve the overall data quality in the organization by identifying improvement opportunities in existing data alarming capabilities and anomaly tracking processes in the org. Additionally, you will collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand data needs and ensure effective use of tools and insights. You will also be responsible for mentoring other L4 and L5 DEs in the org.Key job responsibilities
Data Architecture: Build and maintain the SWA Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes.Data Management and Integration: Collect, process, and manage large datasets from various sources, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.Process Automation: Identify manual processes in data gathering, data quality tracking, data sharing and help automate them.Tool and Technology Utilization: Utilize and stay updated with the latest AWS tools and technologies to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.

- 5+ years of data engineering experience
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
- Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience mentoring team members on best practices

- Experience with big data technologies such as: Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR
- Experience operating large data warehouses
