As part of our Global Delivery Services, you will be part of a technology organization that develops and maintains innovative Test automation solutions for our client in supporting technology such as digital/mobile/web automation to improve testing approach and enhance customer satisfaction
The Automation Senior Test Manager role is in the Delivery pillar. The main function of this pillar is to develop and test solutions created to support the global banking, insurance domain, power and utilities and commercials test automation requirements
Your client responsibilities
- Takes end to end responsibility for the effective planning and delivery of test automation frameworks and automation projects on large scale complex strategic and/or transformative projects in accordance with relevant Test Automation Methodologies.
- Plans, directs, coordinates and reports on test automation delivery activities from automation test strategy and planning by leading, directing and overseeing a team of resources working across multiple workstreams and projects.
- You will be responsible for contributing to the delivery of IT Projects through methodologies such as Agile Scrum/Kanban and traditional Waterfall (when required), leveraging your domain knowledge and sector experience
- Create high-quality work products and act as a subject matter resource on one or more services, leveraging knowledge and experience to shape services to client problems
- Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients.
- Maintains focus so that projects deliver on key priorities and dependencies.

- Management of the large automation test teams (~ 80-100 people)

Internal Responsibilities
- Analyse Test automation trends in the market, learn new tools as needed, and design reusable test automation frameworks.
- Develop test automation proposals , business requests and RFPs
- Trains and mentor’s other employees on test automation
- Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring all levels of staff
- Be responsible for your own self-development, and maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
- Actively contribute to EY’s Quality Assurance & Testing Community of practice
- Understand all our consulting service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients and be able to build meaningful external relationships with our clients and internal relationships across service lines.
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
Technical/Domain skills requirements
- A strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or IT related discipline, from a recognised third level institution
- QA accreditation (ISTQB Foundation, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer or a similar IT accreditation from a recognised third level institution or accreditation body)
- Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in full time test automation role and at least 4 years in hands-on automation architect role
- Expert in the selection and building of test automation frameworks and tools
- Have experience of tool evaluation and selection
- Have prior experience of leading a team of automation engineers
- Have hands-on experience of at least two of the following
- Selenium Web driver with Java/C#/Python/JS
- Appium
- Protractor
- Worksoft
- Tricentis Tosca
- Ranorex
- UFT
- Postman, RestAssured
- Have hands-on experience of the following tools (Automation, Build, CICD)
- Git/Bitbucket/Gitlab/SVN
- Selenium grid/Saucelabs/Browserstack
- Jenkins/AzureDevops
- Should be familiar with code reviews, design patterns, and implementing best practices in test automation
- Expert knowledge of a CI system to create builds
- Be an expert in Agile development practices including ATDD, TDD & BDD
- Have structured approach to problem solving and be a self-starter with the ability to work independently managing your own workload with an attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills – tailoring communications to suit a mix of audiences
