Job Description:
Seeking an Axiom developer within the Finance Technology Regulatory Reporting technology team. The selected individual will be required to perform the following activities:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Daily Responsibilities
Hands on development of quality (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) AXIOM Code, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications & helping with Axiom technical design
Axiom configuration from Data source, Data model, portfolios & aggregationsto building custom reports
Perform root cause analysis as part of issue management
Develop and review of PL/SQL code to support data sourcing into Axiom & understanding end to end data flow from DB to Axiom
Ensure code/configuration written meets the predefined company and department standards
Review requirements documents to ensure the functional requirements are well understood
Review PL/SQL codes to handle performance tuning exercises
Prepare and execution of detailed unit test cases to test the Axiom code in Controller View
Coordinate with tech teams for implementation including packaging of code & deployments and obtaining the required approvals
Coordinate and communicate with business counterpart for requirement gathering and UAT testing
Define structured process and controls to validate the code and come up with automation opportunities
Provide BAU and post-implementation support
Manage small teams
Required Qualifications:
A minimum Bachelor’s degree required
7-9+ years of development experience with IT
At least 3 years of experience as Axiom developer
Hands on development experience (i.e. readable, performing and supportable) AXIOM Code, delivering the functionality detailed in the technical specifications & helping with Axiom technical design.
Proficient in DB concepts and writing PL/SQL queries
Desired Qualifications:
Oracle PL/SQL and Unix Shell Scripting experience.
Tableau experience or working experience with any BI tool is a plus.
