1. Network Monitoring:

  • Continuously monitor networks, servers, and communication systems using specialized tools.
  • Track network performance metrics (e.g., bandwidth usage, uptime, response time).

2. Issue Detection & Resolution:

  • Detect and diagnose network issues, system outages, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Escalate and resolve network failures, hardware malfunctions, or connectivity issues promptly.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting and incident management.

3. Incident Response & Reporting:

  • Respond to incidents, alerts, and alarms in a timely manner.
  • Create detailed reports on system incidents, outages, and solutions implemented.
  • Communicate with different teams and management during network incidents.

4. System Maintenance & Optimization:

  • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure network health.
  • Suggest improvements to existing systems and contribute to optimization projects.

5. Documentation & Communication:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, incidents, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and third-party service providers for troubleshooting or installations.

6. Customer Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to internal teams and external clients in relation to network issues.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding service disruptions and network performance concerns.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, or similar roles.
  • Experience with NOC tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls) and system monitoring tools.
  • Experience in handling security incidents and troubleshooting internet or system outages.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize issues during critical incidents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment, including nights and weekends.
